Project Reveal: Caribbean Guest Bedroom Getaway

Who says a small room can’t have a big impact? This guest bedroom design tells the story of a Caribbean getaway, making your guest bedroom the perfect oasis for visiting company. Love what you see so far? Let’s get into this breathtaking design!

The Vision

beach getaway scenery, modern lighting, rattan texture, faux raffia teture, black and white wall art, accent cieling, vase with flowers, cool tones and warm tones, modern desk lamp

Lesli prepared this concept board as a source of inspiration! Each photo also displays elements we envisioned this guest room getaway to include. Vibrant sunsets, woven textures, and contemporary angles inspired the color scheme and furniture selections.  We wanted this room to feel like peace and provide rejuvenation for anyone who stayed here. This guest room could be a place of retreat, from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Result

modern wall art, traditional wooden bed frame, iron disc mirror, polyester and wool rug, faux raffia nightstands, wooden stool
  1. The Bed: This contemporary Wood Platform Bed has a touch of rustic charm, with its angled frame, splayed legs, and plush cushioned back It’s partnered with a bedding set that includes a Hand-Tacked Comforter and a collection of decorative pillows. The comforter has two layers of decorative fabric with polyester batting secured inside. We love hand-tacked styled pieces because the stitches are barely noticeable, which provides a seamless appearance.

  2. The End Tables & Lamps: Two modern nightstands perched on four slender legs sit on either side of the bed providing symmetry., its design highlights its luxurious faux raffia texture and soft beige hue. The hardware on its ample drawers features an antique silver leaf finish. On top of each nightstand sits a stunning lamp whose angular arm complements a cone-shaped shade to attain sleek style and elevated functionality. It has a black finish, brass accenting, and a built-in USB port to charge your phone, tablets, and more!

  3. The Wood Stool: A charming solid wood stool features a cane seat and a rustic whitewashed finish that enhances its beautiful wood grain.

  4. The Mirror & Frames: It takes over 20 large discs of iron to make this breathtaking mirror and each disc must undergo an intensive process to get its interesting oxidized look. The discs are hand-cut which forms the raw edges. A chemical and fire technique gives it an oxidized finish. For your photo moment, we have black aluminum frames with white matt.

  5. The Window Treatments & Rug:  A wool and polyester mix rug with canvas backing grounds the room.l The colors continue to tell the story of a relaxing getaway with complementary peach and blue hues. The pinch pleat polyester blackout drapes give your guest the convenience of privacy. They are made in the shade of Sand Beige to complement the room's color scheme.

  6. The Final Touch: We opted to paint the ceiling this ocean-inspired color! Painting the ceiling will make the room feel cozy and give it a bold feature. A flat paint finish will be used to minimize reflecting light.
