What does an interior designer do?
Interior designers create a cohesive plan of how to beautifully and functionally complete a space for your desired use. We do not provide general contractor services, but we do provide detailed documentation and illustrations to articulate the design plan for your desired contractor to make those plans become real. Our involvement in new construction or renovation projects begins with finish selections and includes project management. We always design based on our clients’ lifestyle and preferences. This means all textiles and surfaces are selected with function in mind.
How much will my project cost?
We calculate the overall project cost per each client and project scope of work. Factors that impact the overall cost are the square footage, material quality and contractor labor can vary dramatically from one project to another. We’ve listed some average numbers to give you a range:
KITCHEN RENOVATION: Starting at 35K + design fees of $4500+
MASTER BATHROOM RENOVATION: Starting at 30K + design fees of $4450+.
LIVING ROOM FURNISHINGS: Starting at 15K + design fees of 3K+.
BEDROOM FURNISHINGS: STARTING AT 10K + design fees of $3750+
DINING ROOM FURNISHINGS: Starting at 5K + design fees of $2250+.
Design fees are billed at a flat rate based on a $150/hour design fee structure. The flat rate will be presented at the time of proposal, and only change should the scope of the project change after the project has began. The billing of design fees will distributed through the phases of the project.
